The light was among the first things created by God in the Bible. Genesis 1:3-4 states, “And God said, “Let there be light,†and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.†The Bible also tells us that Jesus is the light of the world. It is through following Jesus that we can see our sin and accept His love. He is the light that leads us toward salvation.

1 The Lord is my light and my salvation- whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life- of whom shall I be afraid?
